On August 28, Phillip, Clara, and I attended a beautiful wedding for my cousin David and his bride, Megan. The wedding was outdoors at a park in San Diego. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the cool temps and more importantly, visit with family.

It was the first time Clara had met most of the Painters, so we spent most of the weekend just catching up. My cousin Kelly, who has a 3 year old son, Carter, also had her nine month old twin daughters there. They were so cute. I should have gotten a picture of the three girls! Oh well, next time...

Grandma and Grandpa flew out with us, which was a huge help keeping Clara entertained on the plane. Poor Clara had her one year checkup the Thursday before we left and got four vaccine shots. Unfortunately it caused her to have a fever the whole trip, but she was a trooper. She never really got fussy about it except during the night.

Other than the shots, Clara's doctor appointment went well. She weighs 19 pounds and 2 ounces and is 29 3/4" tall. Growing and growing...
