Clara's birthday was August 20 and will happily tell you she is 2. Grandma, Grandpa, Gran, and Grandpa came to Sugar Land to help us celebrate the big day and spoil her with presents.

We threw Clara a morning birthday party and invited her friends, Maya, Jackson, Abigail, and Turner. Elmo was the theme as he is Clara's favorite furry person. We served yummy brunch food with kolaches, oatmeal cookies, donuts, and fruit for the healthy folks.
We turned the front yard into a playland with two bounce houses, one with water and one without. Due to the hot weather, the water slide was the biggest hit. The kids had a great time running all around and splashing each other.

We finished the party with an Elmo cake that Mommy made, ice-cream, and presents! Clara even blew out her two candles on cue. It was perfect. She is still singing 'happy birthday Clara' and asks Phillip and I to sing it daily. I think she's finally figuring out this birthday stuff and the fun of opening presents.
