Merry Christmas

We celebrated Clara's second Christmas in Alabama. Our trip started with Wyman's family in Birmingham for a quick lunch and then off to Gilbertown. Clara must have been a good girl this year, because Santa Claus brought her a learning playhouse and a stocking filled with toys. She added two more words to her vocabulary, Santa and what Santa says... ho ho ho.

Knock knock...

A bag of never-ending toys.. I especially like the noisy ones.
We had a nice visit with Aunt Von and the rest of the Abstons and saw a few of the Gibsons too. Clara really bonded with her third-cousin Caitlin.  I've never seen her warm up to someone so quickly!
Aunt Von has lots of fun stuff to play with.

We left for Grandpa and Gran's house Christmas afternoon and arrived to a winter wonderland.  Daddy loves playing in the snow, but it took Clara a little longer to get used to it.

On December 26, we went to Grandmother and Granddaddy's house to celebrate with all the Hamiltons.  We opened presents that night with Aunt Dete and Clara got a classic sock monkey.  We sometimes call her a little monkey because of all the bananas she eats!  Clara really enjoyed playing with her cousins. Kennedy is especially sweet to her.
Ah... I can't see but yet I can't stop looking in the light.
We opened more presents the next day, but Clara was much more impressed with Gran's horses.  Horse is her new favorite word, and she can also say 'Rowdy' 'Peppy' and 'hay'.  She wanted to walk back and forth between their stalls and stare at the big animals.  Daddy even let her ride Peppy with him.

We stayed until December 30 and flew back to Dallas to celebrate the new year with Grandma and Grandpa.
