Its hard to believe Clara is almost a year old. She is growing so fast and her personality is really starting to show. She has added some new words to her vocabulary. After 'momma', her next word was 'dadda' and sometimes 'daddy'. Her next two words were 'Daisy' and 'Bo'. At first we thought maybe she was just saying 'daddy', but there is no mistaking it now. When she sees Daisy or Bo, she gets excited and says 'Daisy' or 'Bo' over and over. Even the daycare workers heard her say 'Daisy' and wondered who that was.
She loves to clap. If someone is clapping, even on TV, she puts her hands together. Also when we say 'yay Clara' if she eats good or whatever reason, she starts clapping for herself.
She isn't walking yet, but with help of the couch and other furniture she is figuring out how to move on two feet. She stands up without help and can balance for a few seconds before falling. She is currently transitioning to the 1-2 year old class at her day care, and I picked her up from that class on Wednesday. Most of the kids in there are already walking, and the teachers warned me it would only be a matter of time once she sees everyone else doing it. Still need to finish babyproofing the house!
