Surprise visit to Alabama

Phillip, Clara, and I went to Alabama last week to surprise his grandmother for her 80th birthday.  We bought the plane tickets Friday night and only told his Aunt Myra we were coming.  We were quite sneaky and called Grandmother on Saturday before we left telling her we wished we could come, but her present was on its way.  =)  Everyone was quite surprised when we drove into the driveway.  All the Hamilton clan was there, and it was nice to see them if only for a short while.  We stayed the night at Grandmother's house and had Sunday breakfast with Grandmother and Granddaddy.

We drove to Birmingham that afternoon and got there just in time to cheer for Kennedy at her soccer game.  Clara even had fun kicking the ball around with Kayman.

We ended Sunday with a nice dinner with Grandpa and Gran.  Bet you can guess what Clara's favorite part of dinner was...
